Bio-hydrogen is an energy of tomorrow which has heat value 3 times higher than fossil fuel. This project shows that bio-hydrogen can be found by industrial waste, such as palm oil industry.
Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) as an industrial waste from Palm Oil Industry contain 50-75% of CH4 and 25-45% of CO2 as biogas which contributes for polluted the air and caused climate change in long-term effect. However the biogas contents of POME like methane, carbon dioxide, and biohydrogen have potency to be renewable energy resource if burned. Production of Biohydrogen was successfully isolated from anaerobic digested palm oil effluent (POME) in Pakenjeng, Garut, Indonesia.
